This program is not credit-driven like the rest of the mortgage loan applications. This program is affordability-based - which means you may need to work to show your budget, your income and your expenses. This program also requires no late payments in the past 12 months. Bankruptcy and foreclosures are acceptable.

There is no income restriction unlike city-sponsored grants. There is no age restriction also. Home buyers must plan to occupy the property. All pre-existing homes, new construction, single or multi-family homes, condominiums and townhomes qualify.

There are more qualifications and eligibility criteria for the program. However, it varies from an individual basis.
