This is what they say about the weather in Frisco TX. If you don't like it, just wait 5 minutes. It will turn on you. Then again, the same thing could be true. It's pretty outside and in the next hour, you could be wearing a sweater. Or like last night, it was pouring rain and many of us, Frisco residents had to gather the family and pets into stairway closets because the tornado sirens rang.

If you are cold-natured like me, Frisco Texas would perhaps be the most north you'll ever live. I remembered going on a vacation to Calgary, Alberta for Memorial Day weekend, I had to wear my winter coat while my Canadian family (the kids) were wearing t-shirts and shorts  to school!

Frisco Texas can have crazy weather days. Just 2 weeks ago, we had ice that closed school for 2 days (Monday and Tuesday) and by Thursday and Friday, we were outside enjoying our 70-degree weather. Go figure!

When you live in Frisco Texas, you could expect about 1 or 2 occurrences of Ice Days. Some years have more severe weather days than others. But we have plenty of sunshine to offer. The best part is that it comes with low humidity. So, no sweaty people. We still smell good (most of us, anyways)! The weather in Frisco is good to us that call Frisco home.

Even in December, January and February, when most parts of the country are still covered with snow, many Frisco residents already enjoy the hikes and walks in our picturesque communities, parks and lakes. It is not common to see 70-degree weather days in the Winter. Yes, I said Winter.

Good weather days really come by the end of February - if our January are too inconsistent for you. From February until June is the time I save the most on my electric bill. My a/c is not running and I open the windows to let the fresh breeze come in. Then my a/c bill could go up as high as almost $400 (and that's high for me) to almost nothing again in October through November/ December before I kick start my heater. While I am very cold-natured, I naturally keep the house not as cold in the summer, and fairly comfortable in the winter. Many of my American friends pay over $500-$600 on their a/c bills. Don't forget, we have big homes in Frisco Texas. Many homes are over 3,500 - 4,500 square feet and that seems to be a norm for home buyers these days.

It can get hot for some people in our Summer. Summer days can be over 100 degree weather, sometimes 30-45 days in a row. Still not too bad because we have a relative low humidity compared to Houston, Texas. Enjoy the sun until late November/ early December. I remembered wearing shorts during my Thanksgiving dinners some years. My roses still bloom in December most of the time.
