Home > Home Selling > When Sold is the only acceptable outcome

You have worked so hard to prepare your Frisco Texas home for sale. You have carefully interviewed the right agent for the job. You swept, you mopped, you cleaned and you mulched. The sign is in the yard. Now, you are anxious to move on. You are anxiously awaiting for the buyers with the contract. How could someone not understand that?

I believe that everything is interconnected. Everything has its time and place. Everything happens for a reason. As a Listing agent, I find trying to explain this concept to a Seller (who eagerly awaits for the offer on the house) may not take this advice very well. I totally understand that.

After they have worked so hard to prepare for the sale of the house, most Sellers want to close this chapter of their lives.

I feel that I'm called to become some client's real estate agent. I know I'm not called to help every single buyer and seller out there. So, with the best of my ability, I'm out there, armored to make the sale happen. But sometimes, it's not the house. Some houses sit longer than others and I have seen too many examples that it's not necessarily the price factor. Especially in today's Frisco Texas homes. Some are perfectly immaculate. Priced reasonably. Yet, they expire or never sell.

I believe the house is awaiting its right owners. Maybe somewhere out there, the buyers' hearts need a little more stirring. Everything must work together in order for the sale to happen.

I might be in **danger for writing this. In addition, some salespeople with go-getter, "I determine my own destiny" mentality may view this differently from me. Some might even think I dont try hard enough. Is that the case? I have wondered this many times myself but my answer is still "No". There are days where I dont sleep for days (by that I really do mean my brain after the lack of sleep for over 48 hours and going into the zombie mode). I have clients - be it a Buyer or Seller, I do seek guidance to best handle their housing situation.

I have never said to a Seller, "When the Right buyer comes along, there we will have our contract". I have never said to a Buyer, "This house is on the market "this" long because it has been waiting for you to make the move". But I'm dying inside really wanting to do just that.

I am not a lazy salesperson who just sits at home to wait for her phone to ring. I do my due diligence, I am creative and I am hard working. But I would be first to tell you that I have my limits where my line is drawn. My heart will tell me to back off and I will do that. I am nothing but an instrument for the real estate transaction that involves me to do what it needs to do. And sometimes that can be the painful word is "WAIT". It's not time yet.

I know it's difficult to think it and it is definitely not fun to be sellers in-the-waiting. But sometimes, that's the best you can do.

To everything, there is a season. A time for every purpose under the sun.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

Read about what our satisfied clients have to say:

When she arrived for our appointment, we went through the normal preliminary procedures and all was fine. Then she surprised us. She had already done most of the work and only needed to take a few pictures of the inside and determine the price that we would be comfortable asking. She also spent a great deal of time explaining to us how the whole sales process work and what we could expect.

Eric & Tomoko Quere, Plano TX

Ultimately, Loreena introduced us to the house we bought--it was not one we found from our own hours of searching web listings--based on the the comments we had made while we visited these different homes. This is a testimony to her ability to listen well and to work proactively on our behalf.

Jenn & Glen Miller, Denton TX

We were completely impressed with Loreena. She helped us find and buy a home in Frisco. We have very high expectations from a realtor and she surpassed them. Knows her market extremely well, not just the technical market pricing data, but the nuances of all the neighborhoods as well. One of the most responsive and professional persons I've met in my entire business career.

Ruth & Jerry Meek, Frisco TX

I just want to thank you again for your help in selling our house. In this tough economy and market, I really didn't expect to get an offer. But you counseled me so well in pricing the house to sell and yet not letting me accept an offer that was too low. I believe we got the best deal we could have. I was so pleased and surprised with what we walked away with.

Sally & Phillip Barnard, Frisco TX
